Received manuscripts from authors at romanoslavica@gmail.com are included in the double-blind peer review process, which consists of several stages, as follows:
In the first stage, the editors evaluate the texts received from the authors to determine if they correspond to the scientific theme of the journal, as well as if they comply with the technical editing criteria (presented in the section Guidelines for Authors) and the conditions of ethics and malpractice (formulated in the section Ethics and Malpractice).
If the texts comply with the criteria mentioned above, they are anonymized and sent for review to two specialists in the field (among those in the Editorial Board). The criteria for scientific evaluation aim at relevance, correctness of the presented facts, adequate reflection of the international research, originality, logical structure of the material, coherence, clarity of presentation of the arguments, etc. The evaluation of the scientific quality of the texts takes between two and three months. The reviewers propose the following recommendations: acceptance of the text without changes, acceptance with minor changes, revision and resubmission (the article will be resubmitted to reviewers after revision and its acceptance or rejection will be decided) or rejection.
After the evaluators send the papers to the editorial office, they are anonymized and then sent to the authors, who are given a deadline to apply the recommendations and resubmit the texts.
