Abstract

The author focused on the reflection on and the analysis of Polish disability studies in the local context and in humanities, especially of their situation and place in Polish Studies.
Beginning with the first attempts of scientifical reflection on disability from other than medical point of view in the inter-war period, the author notices a lack of continuity of this research perspective in Poland, which was caused mostly by political and economic factors. Instituția: drd., Universitatea din Novi Sad

Email: adimo95@gmail.com

Cuvinte cheie: school; student; contract teachers; Serbian Banat; Radu Flora

Abstract

My research is based on the presentation of the school in the interwar period in Radu Flora’s novel "When Spring Comes". In this novel, Radu Flora gives description of the school system in the interwar period in the Serbian Banat. Even if he states that it is neither an autobiographical novel, nor a product of fantasy, but a mixture of everything, he admits that the novel is not something that is detached from reality. His novel is providing information about the school system in that period, Romanian and Serbian pedagogues, and the form of school and boarding school organization. Novel ”When Spring Comes” for Romanian literature in the Serbian Banat is a treasure of historical and social information from the interwar period.

O călătorie de la „lumina credinţei” la întunericul de nepătruns al morţii: Dervişul şi Moartea de Meša Selimović / A Journey from the "Light of Faith" to the Impenetrable Darkness of Death: Death and the Dervish, by Meša Selimović

Instituția: drd., Universitatea de Vest din Timişoara

Email: gocapejic@yahoo.com

Cuvinte cheie: Death and the Dervish; symbols; cultural archetypes; mythification; journey

Abstract

Meša Selimović designs a gnoseological journey of the dervish against a historical background containing elements contemporary to his biography. It follows the axis light – darkness – truth and justice – the loneliness of power and emphasizes the spiritual degradation of the protagonist. Starting from Ahmed Nurudin’s portrait illustrated in the beginning of the novel, this paper studies the symbols and cultural archetypes such as light, darkness, death, fall, journey and the circle present in the 1966 literary masterpiece Death and the Dervish. Interpreted in the terms of a psychological novel with parable elements based on historical material, it is the result of the process of mythification, demythification and remythification. Furthermore, the symbols and cultural archetypes grafted on a historical substrate urge meditation on the human condition.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the actual problem of interrelated study of Russian and World / National Literatures. The idea of intercultural dialogue is taken as a principle of this methodological approach to teaching literature. The works of A. Pushkin are investigated from this point of view.
In the Republic of Moldova the creative works of famous Russian poet are studied both in two types of basic language schools: Russian and Romanian. For example, in Russian schools the works of A. Instituția: doctor în istorie, muzeograf, Muzeul Militar „Mareşal Constantin Prezan” din Cluj-Napoca, Filială a Muzeului Militar Naţional, Cluj-Napoca

Email: ciurica_matei@yahoo.com

Cuvinte cheie: Slavs; Romanians; ideology; Constantinople; chiefdom

Abstract

Our article follows a less conventional line of study for the research of the Romanian Middle Ages, namely the historical and social analysis of this period in terms of ideology and ideological processes that mark the second half of the ninth century in the southeastern part of Europe. We will try, in the following pages, to show that in this geographical area and in this chronological arc there is a generalized movement at the level of what we can call the “Slavic world”, a tendency to absorb the Constantinopolitan ideology, and that we have reason to believe this movement affected the political formations of 9th century Transilvania.

Umelecký preklad ako svedectvo transkultúrneho obratu – migrácia vs. integrácia. niekoľko poznámok k južnoslovanským „dislokačným“ spisovateľom a ich recepcia na slovensku po roku 1989 / Literary Translation as a Testimony of Transcultural Turnover - Migration vs. Integration. Several Notes to South-Slavic “Dislocated” Authors and Their Perception in Slovakia after the Year 1989

Instituția: conf.dr., Departamentul de Studii Slave, Facultatea de Arte, Universitatea Comenius din Bratislava, Slovacia

Email: zvonko.taneski@uniba.sk

Cuvinte cheie: Dislocated authors; South-Slavic literatures; Literary translation; Transcultural turnover; Slovakia

Abstract

The aim of the study is to depict the situation on the “dislocated” literary set in South Slavic countries before and after the year 1989. The main attention is laid on the several scientific important notes of the presence of South-Slavic literatures in Slovakia from the prism of “dislocation”, introducing the issue of literary “migration” and its modification in South-Slavic literatures after 1989; and also a books in translation from these literatures in Slovakia to the present.
Any solid research into this issue is complicated by the fact that not only in Slovak, but also in foreign literature, few good quality monographs dealing with this issue have been compiled. This knowledge has encouraged us not only to critically assess the significant lack of scientific research into this issue, but also to first and foremost initiate a serious concern regarding the latest development of South Slavic literatures and their foreign language reception in today's united Europe. Works on translating books from these literatures into Slovak show a continuity of positive relationships – they support the assertion that when it comes to social practice, the phenomenon of independence of these nations and states should be understood without any sediment of deformation coming from older and newer data. In general, the analysis of the activities of Slovak literary translation confirms the individuality and independence of national cultures in both the sending and the receiving literature and therefore affects several areas of human life.
